Slice of Life #5 - Trying to Balance It All

Trying . . . to turn off my computer

Trying . . . to leave on time

Trying . . . to prioritize

Trying . . . to balance FAMILY and work

Trying . . .

No. DO!

  1. Jen, isn't that the truth?! Sometimes we can't seem to find that balance! I LOVE the structure of your poem. All that trying when we just need to DO! Thanks for sharing.

  2. I like this little poem - especially the pause between trying and the goals. The end made me thing of Yoda and Luke in the swamp - trying the impossible and Yoda, the zen master, says there is no try, just do. Many days easier said than done.

    1. Too funny - I read this poem to my husband and his response is, "Yoda would like it." It was totally a Yoda saying - didn't even realize!

  3. Oh, the 5th slice of life keeps you busy, doesn't it? From what I'm reading, it seems we're all a little stretched! Best wishes for 'do'.

  5. Balance is something I am in need to right now! It's hard to do, but it's possible. I hope you are finding some balance in your day today!

  7. It's like a juggling act sometimes. From another fellow juggler. :-)

  8. I had to come back and reread this after your comment about your husband and yoda. I think this little slice is very wise. We always say "I'll try" and there is no point in saying that unless you're going to DO.
